Lets take a quick look. Look at the life you want and at the life you have. You see, some of you find yourselves in an endless cycle of the same thing, but to you they look different.
"No, that relationship didn't work because of ....." or "Well, the boss at that job was...." or even "I just can't ever lose this weight because I haven't found the right way for me". Let's take a second and try to find the real issue or the common denominator.
It's you! You are the repeat offender.
Harsh? Maybe? And at the same time it is completely refreshing and wonderful to know that YOU DO in fact hold the key to great change. This isn't about bashing or shaming. This is about changing the lenses through which you see.
You play a part in this life you're living and if you don't like it, I've got fantastic news! You CAN change it! Here are 3 simple ways to figure out how to make real change.
- Check the record - To check the record you will want to sit down, with pen and paper, and start to list any and all of the history. This could be job history, relationship history, diet history or anything else. Just put it all on paper and add dates or duration.
- Find the pattern - Look for it. Try to really analyze your history and see what you find. At what point did the drama begin? At what point does your boss start to irritate you? When did you quit? This step will be incredibly insightful.
- Decide to change - Yep. That's it. Just decide. Once you are aware that there is a history and a pattern you can decide to change. When you get to these moments again they will become a little easier to recognize and change.
